This year's theme is "Smart Move". Can FIRST LEGO League teams transform the way we look at transportation? The key to the 2009 "Smart Move" Challenge is accessing people, places, goods and services in the safest, most efficient way possible. In this journey, teams will consider many modes of transportation beyond their daily routine and streamline their options by making smart moves!
Our Community:
We picked the Portland Veterans Affairs hospital (VA) as our community. The Fire Breathing Rubber Duckies (FBRD) have conducted research regarding the VA for the last two years as a result our wanting to help the hospital meet the needs of its patients.
The Problem:
The VA Hospital is currently battling the ravaging effects of germs. The transportation of germs within the VA hospital is a challenge that requires a method of obliteration without creating additional work for the already busy nurses.
The Solution:
Our solution to the VA's germ problem is a two step solution:
An unique air purification system
An AI-driven cleaning robot.
